2007 Annual Appeal Goal is $2.4 Million

Christ calls us to follow in His footsteps. Jesus demonstrated His love and compassion for others. He helped the poor, fed the hungry, sympathized with the lonely, healed the sick, prayed for sinners, and shared his Father’s love with people of all races and religions. Is it not our task to do the same? We are called in different ways to follow Him. Catholic Charities’ ministry unites us in our journey of faith to help others in need. Your sacrificial gifts- prayers, volunteer time, and financial support are appreciated. Thank you for participating in our ministry and helping Catholic Charities meet its 2007 Annual Appeal goal of $2.4 Million.

Information about the Annual Appeal and Catholic Charities

  • The Annual Appeal provides 57% of the total budget of Catholic Charities.
  • Catholic Charities’ revenue sources include the Annual Appeal, United Way designated funds, fees and grants, special events, and other contributions.
  • The money raised from the 2007 Catholic Charities Appeal stays right here in Oklahoma to help people in need throughout the Archdiocese (central and western Oklahoma).
  • Please consider pledging one hour’s salary per month to the CC Appeal.
  • English and Spanish brochures and pledge envelopes in English, Spanish and Vietnamese have been distributed to all parishes across the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City.
  • In the 116 churches and missions across the archdiocese, more than 7,500 individuals donated to Catholic Charities last year. Every donation, no matter how great or small, makes a difference.
  • The St. Patrick’s Day Grand Marshal Ball raised more than $49,000 this year for Catholic Charities.
  • Catholic Charities’ video, History of Giving, Stories of Hope, is available to provide more information about Catholic Charities (5-minute and 20-minute versions). A representative from CC is available to speak and present the video to any group.
