Catholic Archdiocese of Oklahoma City – Disaster Relief – Myanmar &
China
Oklahoma City -- On May 14, 2008, the Most
Reverend Eusebius J. Beltran authorized special collections during
May and June to provide relief and assistance for the many victims
of the cyclone in Myanmar (Burma) and the earthquake in Sichuan
Province in central China. All donations received by the
Archdiocese will be forwarded to
Catholic Relief
Services, the official international humanitarian agency of the U.S.
Catholic community. Catholic Relief Services provides assistance to
people in need in more than 100 countries without regard to race,
religion or nationality.
Archbishop Beltran
wishes to express the need for prayers and financial assistance
for the people affected by these tragedies. Persons wishing to
